Australian slang

Australian slang is colourful, and often funny. Australian slang can also be a complete mystery to most people not born here.

Well.. I have found some expressions what is used at Aussie people :-D

So if you want to travel to Australia you can try it. ;-) or I'd say  you can "give it a go" :-)

It's not that difficult to learn to understand Australian slang. You just have to“back yourself”. This means to believe in yourself, so to believe that you can do something.

When you first meet an Australian, he or she might ask you, “How's it goin'?” This means, “How are you?”You can answer by saying something like,“Good, mate,”if you're a man,or you could say,“Not too bad,” or just respond like you normally would when someone asks how you are.

After you've talked to that Australian for a while, they might ask you to come to the pub. When we say,“Let's grab a drink,” it means,“Let's go to the pub and drink some alcohol.”If they drink "a cold one" that's the beer :-)

If something goes wrong and you don't understand what somebody is saying, don't “make a fuss”, which means to worry.

If somebody talk a lot and you get angry and you don't want to continue this talking you can say "Belt up!" or "Pull ya head in" or if you are so agressive :-D you can say "I will job you!" meaning is I will hit you if you wont leave me alone haha

If something is true you can say "Bloody oath!" ..hmm i have never tried it :-D

If somebody say "G'day Cobber" it means welcome my close friend.

If you having a blue  you have argument.

If you have cold or flu they say "I got the wog" and if you're very tired you're "nackered."

So Australian people are not so strange if you learn a little bit slang :-D cuz they speak English :)
